What an amazing time we shared this past Saturday night as the cast of Mamma Mia! joined the Upper Canada Chorus for the final concert of the 2007/08 season. The chamber chorus opened, demonstrating excellent vocal dexterity in an entirely a cappella set, which included the title track from their upcoming CD release "Sing With Me". The Principal Choir and then full choir joined for several numbers prior to the Mamma Mia! cast entering the stage.

For Mamma Mia students or those selected by their teachers in York Region, preferred access will be granted to the UCC program for 2008/09. We will be auditioning students in these categories on Tuesdays through the month of June.

Auditions are currently under way for the 2008/09 Upper Canada Chorus season. We are adding a new rehearsal location in Markham/Unionville this year, and are opening up more space to accommodate the greater demand in both Thornhill (and Richmond Hill) and Markham/Unionville. In total this season, UCC is set to select over 150 singers from across York Region and North York into one of the most dynamic musical learning experiences available. We are auditioning through June for the 2008/09 season.
