It is a wonderful feeling to help young people achieve excellence in ways they never dreamed possible. Volunteering with UCC satisfies in a way not much else can. As a non-profit charitable organization, we rely heavily on volunteer teams to help us operate. Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved. If you are willing to lend a hand, please use the form below and the appropriate member of our parent committee will contact you.
Administration Set up and put away attendance table Monitor arrival and departure of choristers Display bulletin board notices Coordinate community events Send out cards for absences Organization of choral music Chaperones Oversee a UCC ensemble for dress rehearsals, concerts, tours, retreats, etc. Retreats – meal preparation, kitchen help, and cabin counselors Tours Concerts Pre-concert set-up Post-concert take-down and clean-up Distribute programs Ticket sales Monitor lobby during concert Post-concert refreshment reception Hospitality Appreciation gifts for guest musicians, clinicians and technicians Rehearsal refreshments Social Convener Organize chorus social events Organize refreshments and snacks Supervise social events Communication Newsletters and memos Website Design Website Host Website Maintenance Phone calling as needed Call Ring Organizer Contact media (radio, TV, newspaper, etc.) regarding UCC Uniforms Order, distribute, maintain concert attire Fundraising Solicit corporate sponsors. Co-ordinate all fundraising initiatives including; order forms, advertisements, collection of monies, distribution of product, etc. Apply for grants. Tours Organize all aspects of tours including; musical and social venues/events, accommodations, meals, transportation, etc. Serve on UCC Board of Directors This list is simply a guideline, outlining the areas of chorus life where we could use your support.
