OTHER EXPENSES Amani, Avanzare and Minogi have overnight retreats in January. These retreats cost $85 which is payable at the time of the retreat. Recording ensembles will be asked to bring $10 on any recording days to cover dinner. In the case of a lost music folder and bag the replacement cost will be $100. In the case of a lost uniform and garment bag the replacement cost will be $150. FAMILY DISCOUNT If you have two or more children in our program, you may take advantage of our family discount. Deducations can be made as follows: 20% from the "Net Due" of the second child, 25% from the "Net Due" of the third child, and 30% from the "Net Due" of the fourth child. You may adjust each payment down by the appropriate percentage. BURSARY PROGRAM It is our goal at UCC to offer the highest quality of musical education to youth throughout York Region regardless of financial ability. If your current financial situation does not enable you to register, please submit a bursary application by completing the form on the UCC website at www.uppercanadachorus.com. All bursary requests are directed to the UCC board of directors. Bursaries may be granted, at the discretion of the board of directors and upon review of proof of income, in 25%, 50% and 75% tuition reductions. CAPITAL DEPOSIT There is a one-time capital deposit of $100 payable for each chorister in the program. If requested, this amount is refundable upon return of uniform, music, garment bags, music bags, etc. All such returns must be in acceptable condition. The UCC parent committee oversees the Capital Deposit account. Requested refunds are issued at the end of August following a season ending in June. If a request for a refund is not received, the $100 Capital Deposit will be considered a donation and will go directly to the fund responsible for the care and purchase of uniforms and materials related to uniforms. NSF CHEQUES All NSF cheques will be charged an administrative fee ($25.00). REFUND POLICY Because the Upper Canada Chorus is an auditioned choir with limited enrollment, and we audition more students than we are able to accept each year, payment represents a commitment for an entire choral season. As such, refunds cannot be granted. |
